Yesterday James, Ryan and I met up with Susan for her birthday lunch at Mimi's Cafe. It was such a fun outing! If you want to see that Ryan was actually there you need to look closely and you might see part of his little head at the bottom of the top photo-can you tell he's a little camera shy. Susan is a cousin of James' - their mothers are sisters. It is I who has been blessed with her friendship since moving here. We have enjoyed meeting for lunch once a month and visiting - getting to know each other better. She is a great listener and is so patient with me, letting me talk to her about the kids and this and that...
And here it is her birthday and she brought us gifts! Always mindful of others she brought Ryan these coloring books and crayons which he enjoyed throughout lunch and has not put down since. She brought me this beautiful candle as a Valentine's Day gift. How sweet is she! We brought her some gorgeous pink geraniums and I'm sad that I didn't get a picture of her holding them. It was a nice afternoon.
