104: a lot or not?

I cleaned up our master bedroom closet yesterday. I have a confession to make. I have 104 shirts. Does that seem like a lot to you? 104. hmmmm...I would have guessed maybe 50, but 104!?! And I admit, that is NOT counting my "just hanging out T-shirts". The kind one wears to paint in, sleep in, hang out in...Those shirts are folded up and placed on a shelf in our closet. I don't have very many of them (under ten) because I really don't wear t-shirts. But anyway, back to 104. I dare you to go to your closet right now and count your shirts, because I really want to know. Is 104 a lot??? Is it time for me to purge the closet?

I am headed back to my closet to count. 104 sounds like a lot!!! :) Girls can never have enough clothes! :) My biggest problem is, I love shirts. I don't like trying on pants. So I seem to have quite a few shirts, and few pants. I need to work on this one.

Your Saint Patty's Day decorations are darling!!! I need to get mine up. I was just thinking about what to put in my domes. I am enjoying decorating with them for each holiday. K, off to count shirts. :)

Well Cori, I have 92 if that makes you feel any better. Now why does it feel like I wear the same 5 shirts over and over? The rod has actually broken off the wall on one side, but the shear bulk of our combined shirts is holding it up. To compare, I counted Mike's and he's at 105. Time to clean it out!

I am not at home as yet, so I will have to get back to you later. However, I still have shirts/tops in boxes in the garage...because I don't have room in my closet. So, you tell me...is 104 a lot? I report back when I have a number.

Oh Cori....I have 104 that don't even fit me hanging in the closet.(sad day :( ) Those, in addition to the tops that Omar the Tent Maker made for me, it's safe to say that I have more than my share and then some....

Except for the hanging around the house clothes, you have more than my clothes combined!

I am not really a clotheshorse.

(saw that term in a scrap page layout in a magazine about a girl begging her mom at the store, how she HAD to have that dress)

On the other hand, we busy women with kids, need anything we can do to help us feel dressed up and pretty for the day.

Yes, 104 is a lot. My mother-in-law once told me, I think it was while I was breast-feeding, how we can expect to go from grapefruits to lemons and every fruit in between. It's no small wonder that you might have 104 shirts. I am the queen of t-shirts. So many colors, I usually have to have one of each. And the ones I've earned with triathlons. I also have a few wrinkle resistant button-up shirts from eddie bauer that I love too. The count about 55, all seasons and sweaters included. I buy shirts and then love them to death. So they don't last too long. Now socks, that's a different story. I love being able to wear socks again in wyoming. I have started a collection. We all have our vice. P.S. Thanks for keeping up the comments on my blog!!

Cori that is definitely a lot although I will admit there was a day when I had lots more than that and more than 100 pairs of shoes! I have changed so much - that I have like only 5 shirts that I wear, and have not bought a single pair of shoes for 2 years and I don't own that many pairs anymore. My sister still thinks all I do is "shop" and I had to tell her that is not the case. I feel like I have finally learned how to define myself- without clothes and shopping! Anyhoo--- I just don't like stuff anymore- I am in UT and actually was so excited to go to Robert's Craft and I went and walked out empty handed because I have lost the desire to add more stuff to what I already own- so I say - out with the stuff!! Fun post and you always look amazing- so those shirts are a very good thing :)
